ACCESS TO WORK (UK residents only)

What is Access to Work?

Access to Work is a government funded programme available to UK residents that provides practical and financial support to people with a disability, health condition or mental health condition to help them stay in work. The programme is available to those that are employed or self employed and can help support in areas such as providing special equipment for the work place, help with travel (if public transport is not suitable), communication support and also support workers or job coaches. Support is reviewed on a case by case basis and is agreed based on the needs of the individual.

What accommodations are made for those with ADHD?

Accommodations that are often made for ADHDers can include ADHD Coaching, Coping Strategy Training, Noise cancelling headphones, and Virtual Assistants.

What do I need to do next?

The first thing to do is to check that you are eligible. You (or a colleague, friend or partner!) will then need to complete an application so that your needs can be assessed via the link below:

The wait time to hear back from Access to Work is a minimum of 12 weeks, however please note that due to the high number of applications some of my clients have been waiting for up to 6 months. If you have not heard back from them and you are concerned, get in touch with them.

Do you work with clients via Access to Work?

Yes. I would suggest booking a coaching chat with me after you have made the application and you have already been waiting for a minimum of 12 weeks. This gives you the chance to see if we are a good fit to work together. Once your funding has been approved we can support you to ensure you are set up correctly to start coaching whether you are self employed or applying via your employer.
